Ilaria Scalise (b. 2002) is a London-based Italian digital artist whose work moves through themes of identity, self-discovery, and emotional memory. Her practice is shaped by the quiet influences of writing, poetry, cinema, and lived experience. Using digital drawing as a foundation, she weaves together photography, video, sound, and figurative forms to create dreamlike pieces.
Scalise sees art-making as inseparable from life. Her creative process is nourished by experience and emotion, transforming personal moments into visual expressions that feel both intimate and open. She is always expanding her vision and creative language, exploring new ways to tell stories through image, sound, and movement. Through her work, she invites viewers into a space of introspection, where identity is not fixed, but constantly shifting, and where softness becomes a strength. Her art offers a quiet, poetic exploration of how we see ourselves, how we change, and how art can hold those shifts with care and honesty.
Scalise received her Diploma in Arts and Design from Istituto Clerici in Milan ( 2020), before studying drawing at the Art Academy London (Borough, 2021 - 2022) and obtaining her undergraduate degree in Illustration and Visual Communication at the University of Westminster ( 2022 - 2025).
